Disclaimers, Content Warnings, Etc

Content Warnings

Given Innerfall's genre and setting, I think it's important to lay out every possible disclaimer I can about it's content. Just to get it out of the way, while Innerfall IS a historical fiction narritive, it's story doesn't involve anything to do with WWII, nazis, or other large-scale hate crimes/hate speech groups. WWI does make a minor appearence in two of the characters backstories, but it's a very minor plot point as those two characters aren't the primary protagonist of Innerfall. I'm a strong believer in not adding bigotry scenes into plots only for the sake of "historical accuracy." Bigotry does exist in the story, but doesn't appear that often. If it does, it's exclusively for a wider story/arc purpose and I make my best effort to handle the subject with care.

I'm going to add individual content warnings on each character's page so you know what's coming up on a specific profile, but I will also be adding a list of potentially triggering subjects here that make appearences throughout Innerfall.

• Death/Murder/Violence/Blood
• Heavy alcohol use
• Religious trauma/Religious psychosis/Religious mentions/Religious references
• Mental illness in the form of depression, schizophrenia, OCD, anxiety, and PTSD
• Physical trauma in the form of amputation and major head injuries
• Emotional abuse/Manipulation/Physical abuse/unhealthy power dynamics/Sexual abuse/Child abuse/Child neglect/Toxic relationships/Emotional neglect
• Stalking/Obsession
• Extreme poverty
• Suicide/Attempted Suicide/Self harm scars/Suicidal thoughts
• Mentions of bigotry in the form of homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and ablism
• Childhood bullying
• War

Now I fully understand that that's a SUSPICIOUSLY hefty list, but I promise you, Innerfall is not as bad as that list makes it seem! A lot of those things are featured pretty minorly. The points you'd have to pay the most attention to are the first, fourth, sixth, and seventh points. I am against the sensationalization of gore, so Innerfall strays away from it very heavily. Innerfall's story is intended to bring light to stigmatized and underrepresented mental illnesses and to bring light to the different forms of abuse/abusers that are often not talked about in media. Of course, I'm not personally impacted by ALL of these. So, if I'm ever representing something wrong, then please feel free to let me know so I can fix it! My goal with Innerfall is to educate and represent the unrepresented.

Disclaimers

Innerfall is still technically a work in progress. However, it's current state is VERY close to to the intended final product! Keep in mind that aspects of characters and plot points may be subject to change in the future. Innerfall as a series probably won't come out for a LONG while, as I'm in my freshman year of college right now. So I need degrees, experience, all that other stuff before I can put together a proper show bible and present it to be potentially greenlit with a studio. THAT BEING SAID! This is not the average "internet project that immidiately dies within a year because it's being ran by one person with no money or experience and will instantly be abandoned." I have been conceptualizing this story for a VERY long time and it's literally been evolving since I was a child in the single digit ages. Innerfall DOES NOT have any kind of crowdfunding campaign, as I believe it's way too early to be doing anything like that. I only want to bring attention and get some form of hype started up for the project as of right now.

Personal Boundaries

I'm honestly pretty liberal with my boundaries. Don't take advantage of that though, please use common decency.

• I allow all forms of fan media. In fact, if you do happen to make anything for Innerfall, feel free to show me! I'd absolutely love to see whatever you have!
• I am not willing to co-own stories with people, especially not Innerfall because it's very personal to me.
• I'm gonna be honest, I really don't care if you feel inclined to make NSFW content of Innerfall. Just don't do it with characters who can't consent, tag it properly wherever you post it, and don't directly show it to me cause that'd be weird.
• Because of Innerfall's contents, I would probably give it an age rating of 16+, though I also know I have no actual control over that.
• As a caveat to the "telling me if I'm representing something wrong" thing, please do not pressure me into adding entirely new plotlines or characters into the story. If there's any fan characters made, I might choose to add them in the background or make a reference to them, but please do not pressure me into doing this for your fan character if you make one!
